Is it fine to judge people for the way they look and dress up? This was a question that I started thinking about, and got into more confusion compared to when I started. Though it is said ‘Don’t judge a book by its cover’, yet the cover influences the first impression, that’s a fact to be acknowledged.
When I was thinking about this post, conflicted thoughts bumped into one another, which placed me in a state of concussion. To do or not to do? How acceptable or weird would one be and appear? Is there a right and wrong in this matter? And much more questions the grew and revealed themselves.
When it comes to work, or public related issues, facial appearance might affect the public’s input and decisions. That is a fact, for people might be required to take a quick sudden decision that would affect their lives. People tend to go with the following quote:
“How things look on the outside of us depends on how things are on the inside of us.”
Henry Ward Beecher Quotes
That’s not wrong to do, it is some people’s nature, which worked for them. Yet again, some people believe that there is much more to others than the way they look or the clothes they are wearing. This is becoming a very critical issue that affects people, society and the way it think and act. People became possessed with the thought of appearances, that it might be more important how you look than what you got inside, manner, thought and knowledge.
“People do not wish to appear foolish; to avoid the appearance of foolishness, they are willing to remain actually fools.”
Alice Walker Quotes
As I mentioned earlier, it became a confusing topic, that contradicts with itself somehow. But it is worth thinking. You are who you are not because what you wear, or how you look or what you can afford. All these are a natural outcome for who you are inside. He don’t need to build up effort to get them, rather they come and are generated naturally and gradually.
Even going through some of the other blogs to see and read what others wrote around this topic, somehow the same points are repeated here and there. This link is for one of the blog posts that I liked and thought of sharing with you.
Your thoughts in relation to this topic would much enlighten myself and other readers.
